This semester has granted win after win for Moody Magazine, on the regional and national level. I am honored to announce our 1st place national win through the MSUSND 25th Annual Student Design Contest for Best-Designed Student Magazine and a 2nd place accolade for Magazine Cover Design, with our fourth edition FOODY. I am so proud to bring home this win for Syracuse University, ranking above student publications from all across the nation. Recognition from this esteemed judging panel represents renowned publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, The Washington Post, and more. Moody Mag was started out of frustration with the lack of transparency surrounding topics of sex positivity and the realities of self-love. We want this magazine to serve as a safe space for all things uncomfortable. No matter who you are, what you are, what you want to be - this is for you. At a young age, we're told to keep these thoughts in our heads. Don’t talk about sex, don’t be so vulgar, you’re too much. Well, we didn't listen. At Moody Mag, we are transparent and unapologetic and love all parts of who we are. Loving the good, the bad, and the moody. We touch on very deep and personal subjects that can be triggering for some readers, but we’re here to tell you that you’re not alone. At the end of the day, and at the end of the mag, we hope to leave you with the confidence to be proud of what you’ve gone through and how far you’ve come. So, are you in the mood?

We are so thrilled to share Issue V: Making Love. This issue is a special one — a physical testament of what’s at the core of Moody. In Issue V, we explore the painfully personal and the wonderfully gentle forces of love we have all experienced. After all, what is a life without love? This is a bittersweet issue for Moody Magazine. Issue V marks our last publication through Syracuse University and we are beyond grateful for the resources and support that has been provided for us. As we transition to this next phase of operation, we know in our heart that we want to share Moody with more of the world - and we’ll do just that. After all, our love story doesn’t end here. I am so proud to announce Moody Magazine's latest first-place win at the Syracuse University - Martin J. Whitman School of Management inaugural Dean's Challenge in partnership with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Our $5,000 undergraduate grand prize will go towards furthering the development of our brand to help us spread our mission globally. This win could not have been accomplished without my dream team, Emma Lueders and Julianna Hernandez, and our international Moody staff working tirelessly behind the scenes. Special thanks to Alex McKelvie and Erin Draper for organizing this event, and to all of the open-minded judges for giving us this opportunity.
