This is what happens when a membrane roof takes a hit! Damage like this can lead to costly leaks and repairs if not addressed quickly. Tips to Avoid Roof Damage: ? No Smoking on the Roof – Hot ashes or discarded cigarettes can burn and weaken the membrane. ? Handle Tools with Care – Dropping sharp objects can puncture or tear the roofing material. ? Limit Foot Traffic – Walking carelessly or dragging heavy equipment can cause wear and tear over time. ? Schedule Regular Inspections – Catching small issues early can prevent major damage later. Your commercial roof is an investment—treat it that way! Need an inspection or repair? Monument Roofing Systems has you covered! #RoofDamage #ProtectYourRoof #CommercialRoofing

Monument Roofing Systems’ Newest Team Member: Felicity the Cat! We have some purr-fectly exciting news to share—Monument Roofing Systems has officially expanded our family! Meet Felicity, our sleek and stunning short-haired black cat, adopted from the Humane Society of Southeast Texas! From the moment she stepped (gracefully) into our office, Felicity has been keeping an eye on operations, ensuring all paperwork has adequate paw prints, and providing moral support (mostly by lounging in sunbeams). And in case you were wondering—she and our dog, Honey, are already best buds! Why should YOU consider adopting from the Humane Society of Southeast Texas? ?? You’re giving a loving pet a second chance at a happy life. ?? Adoption fees help support the shelter and rescue even more animals. ?? You’ll gain a loyal friend who will bring you endless joy (and maybe some mischief). A huge THANK YOU to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas for all they do to rescue, care for, and find loving homes for animals in need. If you’re looking for a furry friend, adopt, don’t shop! You never know—you might just find the Felicity to your life! #AdoptDontShop #NewTeammate #MonumentRoofingMascots #FelicityAndHoney #HumaneSocietyOfSETX

Honey’s feeling a little down, but she wants you to know this tip to keep you from feeling sad too... Clear your roof scuppers and drains regularly to avoid water damage! Clogged scuppers can turn your roof into a splash zone—water builds up, leaks happen, and repairs get expensive fast. A quick check and clear-out can save your building (and your wallet) from a soggy disaster. Honey may be down, but don’t let a neglected roof drain bring you down too! #HelpfulHintsFromHoney #RoofTips #CommercialRoofing

Adventures in Networking: Connections, Collaboration & a Cockroach? This week’s Adventures in Networking took us all over Southeast Texas! We started at the Hardin County Commissioners’ Court meeting, where a resolution was read recognizing February as Veterans Month in honor of the upcoming Lumberton Southeast Texas Stand Down. As part of the planning board and donors for this event, we’re honored to support our veterans—not for recognition, but because it’s simply the right thing to do. Next, we stopped by the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Industry Expo, where we visited with several contractors and learned more about the incredible businesses that keep Southeast Texas growing. We wrapped up the week at the Chamber’s Friday Morning Business Connection Meeting, because networking isn’t just about business—it’s about building relationships and strengthening our community. And sometimes, it’s about surviving unexpected pranks… Speaking of which, there may be a funny video attached of our friend David pulling off a classic trick on Stephanie with a fake cockroach. Let’s just say, her reaction did not disappoint! Another great week of networking, connecting, and giving back!

Adventures in Networking with Monument Roofing Systems! This past week has been a whirlwind of great coffee, great connections, and even a little treasure hunting! Tuesday morning started strong at the Sour Lake Chamber of Commerce Coffee and Mingle at Liberty Tree Coffee, where our first cup was generously sponsored by First Security Bank. Honey, our spirited mascot, was thrilled to see her favorite furry friend, Ranger—proof that even mascots have networking goals! Friday morning took us to the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce Business Connection Meeting. Nothing like starting the weekend with inspiring conversations, new ideas, and some good old-fashioned teamwork vibes! Then, over the weekend, we may have spotted us at Larrys Old Time Trade Days, browsing through Kevin and Karen’s Treasures. (Yes, we’re suckers for a good find!) Honey might have had her eye on some squeaky ball upgrades, but we’re keeping those negotiations private. A big thank-you to First Security Bank, Sour Lake Chamber, Greater Beaumont Chamber, and Larry’s Trade Days for offering spaces where businesses (and mascots) can thrive. P.S. Honey says, “Networking isn’t just for the humans—it’s where friends are made and squeaky toys are won!”

Building Community, One Connection at a Time This past week, we had the privilege of participating in several meaningful events that bring people together, strengthen businesses, and support important causes in our community. We are truly grateful to the organizations that make these gatherings possible and allow us the opportunity to connect, learn, and give back. Generating Connections – Thank you to Generator Super Center of Beaumont for hosting this great event! It’s always valuable to meet with other local businesses and build relationships that help our community grow. BBB of Southeast Texas Brunch and Learn – Held at Avenue Axe in Port Neches, this was an insightful discussion on the importance of not just working in your business but also on your business. We appreciate the BBB for providing opportunities to learn and improve. Association of General Contractors SETX (AGC) Annual Meeting – This year’s Pistols and Purses Bingo was a fun evening spent with fellow contractors from across Southeast Texas. Thank you to AGC for bringing our industry together in such a meaningful way! Port Arthur SETX Stand Down for Homeless Veterans – This event is always close to our hearts. As both volunteers and sponsors, we support the SETX Stand Downs because we believe in their mission and the importance of giving back to veterans in need. It’s an honor to be involved in something that makes a real impact in our community. We are grateful for these opportunities to engage with others, learn, and support great causes. A huge thank you to everyone who works hard to make these events happen—we appreciate you! Although Honey couldn’t join us at any of these events, we thought we’d share a little moment of her own adventure—getting herself stuck in a gate while searching for one of her toys. #CommunityMatters #Grateful #BuildingConnections #SupportingVeterans #SETexas #HoneyChronicles
