Following the opening speech by MRH CEO Jeff Mengenhausen, which highlighted the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), guests were invited to tour the newly opened state-of-the-art surgery center situated on the 4th floor of the Ambulatory Care Center. The CHNA is a systematic process that involves the community in identifying and analyzing health needs and assets, prioritizing those needs, and implementing a plan to address significant unmet community health needs. This assessment plays a crucial role in shaping MRH’s initiatives and services, ensuring that they align with the health priorities of the community. The San Juan Healthcare Foundation (SJHF) Board has donated $500,000 to expand treatments through the San Juan Cancer Center. Through fundraising, private donations, and the Boot Stomp event, the SJHF board graciously agreed to donate these funds to help with this high priority project to keep Complete Cancer Care Close to Home. MRH is remodeling the building at 816 South 5th Street to expand our treatment of medical oncology patients.
