Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM) is proud to announce that it has been awarded $5 million in federal funding through the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Airport Terminal Program, made possible by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. This grant will support vital improvements to MGM’s infrastructure, including the replacement of the inbound baggage system and an escalator. These improvements will enhance the passenger experience and increase operational capacity for MGM.
“I would like to express my gratitude to our entire federal delegation, including Senator Katie Britt, Congresswoman Terri Sewell, Senator Tommy Tuberville, the FAA, and the MGM Board for their unwavering efforts in supporting Alabama’s air travel needs,” said Wade A. Davis, MBA, C.M., Executive Director of Montgomery Regional Airport. “This project will benefit our passengers and the region for many years to come.”
