This storm resulted in unprecedented, immense damage ranging from flooded communities to tragic losses of life. Montgomery County has received the second-place award for best-tasting water from the North Carolina Rural Water Association. Water samples were evaluated based on taste, odor, color, and clarity. County operators and technicians work around the clock to process and distribute millions of gallons of drinking water each day to serve our citizens.?The County’s water system is also the only producer of public drinking water within our County.??
