Always great to hear but I am not surprised. The MC Biotech program is a unicorn... nothing like it. Between the faculty, instructional staff, our state-of-the-art facility and industry standard equipment, we should be the top choice for those wanting to work in biotech. From early college programs to MD/PhD training for research scientists, we address the scientific community's needs at all levels.
The MC Biotech program was delighted to host MCPS HS Teachers from eight different schools at the Bioscience Education Center. The hands-on activities included gowning up, working at the BSC, microscopy and counting cells, micropipetting art, dilutions using multichannel pipettes, purification of pglo protein using SEC followed by SDS PAGE and a demo of the AKTA FPLC systems for comparison.? Congratulations to Dr. Padmavathi?Tangirala, Dr. Maxim Suvorov, and Dr. Collins Jones for this developing this initiative!
