The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is the key driver of Monterey Peninsula Foundation's charitable giving programs–proceeds from the event are the largest component of our overall grantmaking funds–and we are very proud that the Foundation was able to donate $18 million again this year, which continues to be an all-time high for the Foundation. Two weeks ago, we wrapped up the 2024 PURE Insurance Championship, which marked our 21st year of this unique event. In 2004, Monterey Peninsula Foundation harnessed the idea of The First Tee Open at Pebble Beach to showcase The First Tee, a positive youth development and golf program. Now known as the PURE Insurance Championship, the tournament pairs junior golfers from First Tee programs around the nation with PGA TOUR Champions pros and industry trailblazers who best exemplify First Tee's Five Key Commitments. More than just a display of world-class golf, the event aims to mentor and inspire the next generation of leaders. We had the privilege of watching?some exceptional golf throughout tournament week.?Congratulations to our amateur champions, Ryan Harrington and John Vegas, as well as our now two-time professional champion, Paul Broadhurst, for their outstanding performances. We'd also like to recognize?Daniel Ferguson of First Tee - Greater Dallas (-19) and his partner Justin Leonard, as well as Nicole Iniakov of First Tee - Monterey County (-23) and her partner Ernie Els, for winning the male and female pro-junior competitions. Iniakov and Els delivered a thrilling finish on Sunday, with Iniakov hitting a?hole-in-one on #17,?followed by both eagling the 18th to secure their victory. Thank you to our title sponsor PURE Insurance, along with our partners, players, volunteers, and First Tee for their incredible work and collaboration in bringing this special event to life.
