#MTCorrections Probation and Parole Officer Mckenzie Lyons received the Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) Medal of Valor for her life-saving actions in September when an individual in the Helena P&P office stopped breathing. She performed chest compressions and other maneuvers, successfully reviving the person. The Medal of Valor honors those who go above and beyond to save lives. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

Every Wednesday, #MTCorrections seeks the assistance of the community to locate offenders who have absconded from supervision. They are generally violent or sexual offenders who should be considered dangerous. #MTCorrections is proud to support our military!?Congratulations to Captain Wayne Bye and Sergeant Kay Anderson who were recognized last week with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Awards. Probation and Parole Officer Gatlin Lamb nominated them in appreciation of their full support of his military/National Guard duties. The ESGR Patriot Award recognizes supervisors who provide support to National Guard and Reserve members and their families. Thanks to all our veterans for their service and the folks who support them from home. #veteransday?

In October, #MTCorrections employees across Montana donned pink t-shirts during Breast Cancer Awareness Month to raise funds for Pack the Place in Pink. The nonprofit organization uses proceeds from the sale of the shirts and other fundraising efforts to assist Montanans who are fighting breast cancer. #MTCorrections employees got into the spirit and wore some spooktacular costumes this #Halloween. Demonstrating that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, two members of our team dressed up like our fearless leader, Director Gootkin. The director had his own brush with fame and posed for a pic with Elvis! DOC staff who were handing out candy at the Capitol took the opportunity to snap a photo with Governor Gianforte and his wife. What a Spooktacular Halloween it was!
