How to get new clients in commercial real estate… Taking clients to golf or sporting events (even with my NFL background) is NOT the route to success. A short story I think about more than 10 years later in business. A National Football League (NFL) Stregnth Coach made a statement to me that is still motivating. Story goes… During the off-season, he woke up in Philadelphia and trained a NFL player. After that session, he trained a small group of college players. Then drove to Pittsburgh to train another NFL player at lunch (Philly to Pittsburgh is about 5 hours). Then he drove back to Philadelphia to train another NFL player (me) in the evening. I couldn’t believe it when he told me his schedule that day. I asked who else could keep that schedule day after day, week after week, which he did something very similar to this schedule for years. Without hesitation he said, “I only compare me to me, Brother.” Met a lot of people in sports and business who are great examples of this saying. Happy Thursday!
