"Luxury with a purpose" I learned that phrase from Terrence White of Monko one of the TOP RATED dispensaries in DC. For some reason, that concept kept being replayed in mind over and over and over. When I think of luxury, I often think about excessive spending for things that aren't necessary. Without a purpose, us humans tend to meander around aimlessly while looking for some meaning in our life. To me, bringing purpose to luxury is such a transcendent concept and brings two paradoxical concepts together. I truly appreciated our conversation, it isn't every day that a CEO gets vulnerable and real on a podcast to share his truth versus all the happy and joyful sound bites that they are used to giving. We discuss his biggest challenges in getting Monko up and running, the death of his mother, why partnering with Barry Vuong has been such a pleasure, and how to connect with something greater than yourself.
