The Monica Chibuogu Nneji Foundation, Inc. (MCNF) seeks to identify and invest in future health care professionals who are innovative, inclusive, resilient, and driven to improve health equity in their communities. The MCNF College Scholarship is designed to support students pursuing higher education in health care fields including, but not limited to, nursing, medicine, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, public health, and biomedical engineering. The goal of this scholarship is to improve access to higher education and health care careers for outstanding students from underrepresented backgrounds. The Foundation awards each scholar with a scholarship of $500.00 based on unmet financial need, paid directly to the scholar’s institution, as well as professional mentorship throughout their academic journey. The holiday seasons have felt different for me since the last one I was fortunate to spend with my dear mom. So, it has meant so much to continue to honor my mom through our work at The Monica Chibuogu Nneji Foundation, Inc. 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity. My heart fills with joy when we hear from the students and families we have gotten to work with, like Hawaii Vargas and Monique Armelle Dacanay! ?? Hawaii and Monique were in our first class of MCNF College Scholars and today they're over half-way complete with their university degrees in #STEM ?? Over the past 3 years, with donations from people like you, we've been able to host 4 free college & scholarship prep and community health workshops, sustain a mentorship program, and provide 14 college scholarships!
