Today, MoneyStack announced a pre-seed investment from the Richard King Mellon Foundation to accelerate the growth of our proprietary service for gambling addiction, GamFin.org, and to expand support for individuals and families in financial distress throughout the country. ? With legal sports betting available in 38 states and roughly 9 million adults in the United States suffering from gambling addiction, the time to act is now. Our first-of-its-kind, HIPAA-compliant platform helps mental health providers meet and collaborate with financial counselors to support clients struggling with financial difficulties caused by problem gambling. ? They partner with state government payers to provide their financial counseling software and services to behavioral health clinics, mental health group practices, and other organizations. Working closely with treatment providers, MoneyStack's financial counselors assist clients in developing financial plans to overcome financial challenges (e.g., gambling debt), protect families, and support long-term recovery.
