Moneycatcha was proud to participate in West Tech Fest in our home town of Perth! Our founder & CEO Ruth Hatherley was part of a panel alongside Jodie Imam from Tractor Ventures, Dan Jovevski from WeMoney and Kate Harris from Think & Grow. It was a Chatham House rules chat, where both Ruth and Dan shared 'tales from the trenches' of what it's really like to be a #fintech #founder. Thanks to everyone who came along and supported the events!

In this episode of “Give It A Nudge,” Steve Grace from The Nudge Group sits down with our Founder & CEO Ruth Hatherley to learn how we are democratising data to revolutionise the home loan process for consumers and brokers alike. In Steve's words, Moneycatcha is "not your normal fintech"! Ruth shares the story of Moneycatcha's evolution, starting in blockchain technology before spotting the opportunity to use Australia’s nascent #OpenBanking regime as a data tool to deliver more competitive home loan solutions. In the chat, Ruth dives into the impact of COVID-19 on the financial landscape, describes how the shift to digital processes changed the game for #MortgageBrokers, and explains her passion for improving the customer experience in the home loan industry. Ruth also discusses the challenges of being a first-time founder, the resilience required to build a #FinTech startup, and her vision for Moneycatcha’s future, including expansion into adjacent sectors. ?? Thank you The Adviser Magazine for highlighting the key stats from our White Paper and how our Stryd engine improves data quality of the home loan product reference data direct from lenders to benefit our broker and direct to consumer technology customers. Our Stryd solution takes the challenge away for our customers of deciphering raw home loan Product Reference Data and means the benefits of the CDR legislation are being realised for Australian consumers with high quality and accurate home loan product and pricing offers. There’s now more than 80 bank and lender products being published in our Product Repo Daily - all with a high quality level rating so our customers get the most accurate real time view of the most competitive offers in the market. We have spent 4 years refining our Stryd Master Product repository to accurately categorise and data quality assess bank and lender home loan Product Reference Data to help Australian consumers have access to a broader range of home loan offers. It's really pleasing to see in this latest artice from Mortgage Business Online the ACCC call out the importance of the data and how solutions like ours supports the priority use cases for the Consumer Data Right.

This statement from the ACCC is the core of why we developed the Stryd Master Product Repo for Home Loan Products. Stryd is the only product in the market to accurately and independently categorise, as well as data quality assess, the CDR Home Loan Product Reference Data of all the CDR regulated lenders on a daily basis. We can do this because of the 13,000 plus lines of code that automate this process and help our customers (brokers, comparison sites and other direct to consumer home loan product providers) confidently help consumers make more informed and accurate decisions about what home loan is the most competitive for them. As CDR continues to evolve with both compliance and expansion across the industry, we will continue to provide our customers with the most comprehensive and accurate Product Repository in market. “For the CDR to be effective, it is critical that CDR data is of high quality. This means that product data and consumer data – which a consumer has consented to share - must be accurate, up-to-date, complete, and in the required format. “The value of CDR and the importance of data quality is particularly relevant in the current economic climate where Australians are increasingly concerned with cost-of-living pressures and mortgage interest rates,” Crone said.
