Moms First is partnering with our friends Caring Across Generations, Paid Leave for All, and MomsRising.org to treat moms and caregivers to a night out at the cinema! ???? Join us in cities across the U.S. for early screenings of #Nightbitch, ahead of the film's release on December 6th. Based on the book by Rachel Yoder, Nightbitch stars Amy Adams as “Mother,” an artist who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom. Mother seeks a new chapter in her life, but her nightly routine soon takes a surreal turn and her maternal instincts begin to manifest in canine form. The film serves as a reminder that we all need our pack — and our pack needs more support. Everyone is welcome to enter — whether or not you’re a mom! We're giving away 20 seats to advanced screenings in Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Seattle! (In NYC, we’ll be joined for a special post-film panel discussion with Amy Adams, the film’s award-winning director Marielle Heller, and some other very special guests.) We know how much caregivers deserve a break, so our organizations will provide gift cards to help cover the cost of child care for those who request it. The giveaway ends on November 25 at 9 AM PT/12 PM ET, so be sure to enter the drawing now. -----> https://lnkd.in/e7xYTA8g ***Note: This giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, LinkedIn.

What if instead of looking at a caregiving gap in a resume or an employee's caregiving responsibilities as a "flaw," we treated it as the strength that it is? Harvard Business Review surveyed 131 caregivers from the Rutgers Center for Women in Business (CWIB) — respondents reported that their experiences with unpaid caregiving helped them build workplace skills such as empathy, efficiency, tenacity and persistence, patience, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize tasks, among other skills. In other words: caregiving builds stronger colleagues, managers, and leaders. So why wouldn't you want a caregiver on your team? This #NationalFamilyCaregiversMonth, commit to changing the culture around caregiving in the workplace. Follow our friends Caring Across Generations to get activated. P.S. Let's also acknowledge that unpaid labor is still labor, and it deserves to be compensate as such. That's why we're doubling down on our work to push for investments in care. ???? It was truly a joy to be alongside remarkable women like Chelsea Clinton, Ivana Bartoletti (Wipro), and our Founder & CEO, Reshma Saujani, who spoke about how?Moms First is leveraging the power of AI to help families navigate and make the most of their paid leave benefits. As Reshma?emphasized,?when AI is in the right hands,?it can simplify complex public benefits processes and ensure that support reaches those who need it most. We know the journey towards winning federal paid leave won’t be simple, but with every use of PaidLeave.ai, we're making the case for why?paid leave is vital for families all over the U.S. Thank you The Female Quotient and ATTN: for having us. #AIforgood

Happy #InternationalMensDay to all the dads out there! First, what is International Men's Day? Yes, IMD is real — it's a day to celebrate the positive value men bring to the world, their families and communities, as well as bring light to the many issues that men face. We want to take today to talk about one specific tool we have to support the men in our lives: #PaternityLeave. Paternity leave isn't just good for moms and kids — it's actually great for dads, too! In fact, fathers who take paternity leave often report lower stress levels and improved mental health, as they can engage in parenting and support their families during a significant life transition. It also promotes a healthier work-life balance, allowing fathers to prioritize family during a critical time without the stress of work obligations. And this has ripple effects — when fathers take paternity leave, it sets a precedent for future generations, normalizing the idea that caregiving is a shared responsibility. But here in the U.S., paternity leave is still taboo. It doesn't have to be this way. In countries like Sweden, it's taboo for the dad not to take paternity leave. So this International Men's Day, we're doubling down on our work to fight for family leave for all parents. P.S. Are you a U.S. dad curious to know your paid leave options? Check out our free tool, PaidLeave.ai, to get your paid leave questions answered. . . . ??: The Dad Shift, inspired by a campaign originated by Sophie Lucas and Pregnant Then Screwed

Happy birthday to our founder & CEO,?Reshma Saujani??? Moms First started as an idea, an op-ed, that Reshma had during the pandemic: that America’s moms are hurting and in desperate need of support. Since then, we’ve grown into a movement of moms across the entire United States advocating for structural support for moms, including paid family leave and affordable child care. Most recently, we pushed the issue of child care front and center in the election. There’s been a significant cultural shift around motherhood and structural support in recent years. Next come the policy wins. Join us at MomsFirst.us

We must keep pushing businesses to prioritize moms and their unique needs. If the economy truly is the top priority, then a real plan is needed—not just to bring moms back into the workforce, but to ensure they can succeed. This means investing in child care, paid leave, and flexible work options that empower moms to balance family, life, and career. Period.
