Momentum is excited to join Sandia Area Federal Credit Union in breaking ground on a branch transformation project at their Rio Rancho, New Mexico location!
When the transformed lobby reopens in Spring 2025, the space will feature wide-open sight lines and natural lighting that will give the branch a warm and inviting atmosphere.?Local area photography will be featured within the space, signifying Sandia Area Federal Credit Union’s long-time presence and service in the City of Vision.
The visual transformation of the branch will reflect an operational transformation—away from mere transactions to more personable, conversational experiences.
“The way members want to experience banking is changing. At our Rio Rancho branch, we’re changing, too,” said Kevin Todd, President and CEO of Sandia Area. “This new lobby experience reflects our commitment to serving members in a way that focuses on them and their needs and that shows them their value as members, not accounts.”
While the branch will continue to provide excellent service for even the most basic of transactions (e.g., check deposits and withdrawals), the new space will now facilitate a much deeper consultative experience where members and employees can more easily problem-solve and work on more complex financial goals together.
Momentum’s design team has eliminated the enclosed teller area and opened up the branch for staff to better serve member’s needs. A member can expect to be greeted on arrival by a Sandia Area team member. Based on the member’s needs, employees can then move the conversation to one of the café-style tables for a deeper conversation or take advantage of a more private office space. For simpler services or when the lobby is especially busy, staff will also have the ability to utilize a teller bar to service a higher volume of transactions quickly and efficiently.
The rethought Rio Rancho branch will also feature a community room that can support events of up to 20 attendees. This room will offer after-hours access, making it a valuable resource for the local community. According to Momentum, similar rooms are often used heavily by small businesses as they are growing.
Construction is ongoing, and members of the Rio Rancho community can expect to visit this newly transformed branch sometime in early 2025.
