A legacy in timber for over a century.

关于我们

What we do: The Molpus Woodlands Group, LLC (Molpus) acquires, manages, and sells timberland as an investment vehicle for pension funds, college endowments, foundations, insurance companies, and high-net-worth individual investors. The company focuses on ensuring long-term optimal cash returns on investments while practicing responsible forest stewardship. We currently manage approximately 1.7 million acres of timberland investments located in 17 U.S. states. Our experience covers all facets of timber management, manufacturing, and marketing. Molpus is one of the few Timber Investment Management Organizations (TIMO) that have all of their core businesses and forestry functions handled or supervised by in-house experts. Committed to sustainability: Molpus incorporates environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies and practices into investment analysis and decision-making. ESG values inform everything we do in the forest and throughout our company. We also recognize the critical importance of land-based solutions and healthy forests in climate change mitigation and carbon sequestration. We understand that today’s investors, both institutions and individuals, are making the connection between a company’s commitment to ESG and its ability to create sustainable value and reduce risk. We believe our strong ESG performance has positive implications for the environment and the future of Molpus. Our history: Molpus was founded in 1996 as a TIMO and has a company legacy dating back to 1905. Molpus is one of the oldest timber-related companies in the United States.

Recently, Molpus leadership and its in-house legal team volunteered with We Will Go, a Jackson, MS-based nonprofit focused on education, essential food services, and community engagement. Employees visited local families in need, assisting with the distribution of groceries from We Will Go's food pantry, which relies on donations and sponsorships. At Molpus, our community-engagement motto is “Inspire. Invest. Improve.” We look to foster positive change in our local communities in meaningful ways. Molpus encourages its employees to participate in volunteer opportunities, supported by two days of paid annual leave dedicated to community service. National Raccoon Day takes place on October 1st every year. Raccoons can be misunderstood, known mainly for their nighttime scavenging habits. However, these intelligent creatures play an important role in maintaining the health of our forests. For example, their foraging helps disperse seeds, contributing to forest regeneration and #biodiversity. Raccoons are one of the most dexterous animals, using their nimble front paws to open jars and even unlatch doors. Their adaptability and problem-solving skills make them a fascinating part of the forest ecosystem. At Molpus, we are dedicated to preserving the diverse habitats that support #wildlife like raccoons, ensuring our forests continue to thrive for future generations. #NationalRaccoonDay #SustainableForestry #WildlifeConservation #Raccoons #Timberland

Established in 1994 and held annually on the fourth Saturday in September, National Public Lands Day is traditionally the nation's largest single-day volunteer effort. It celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits. At Molpus, we have over 1 million acres of forests in conservation acres and publicly accessible forests. We are proud to manage forests that provide outdoor recreational opportunities and beautiful aesthetics, benefiting local communities in states such as Idaho, Michigan, Minnesota, and New York. #NationalPublicLandsDay #Conservation #Recreation #PublicAccess

On this World Rivers Day, we’re proud to highlight our ongoing commitment to helping protect over 6,000 miles of streams and rivers that flow through our forests to ensure that these precious waterways remain clean and vibrant ecosystems for all forms of life. The Middle Branch Grass River, shown here flowing through our managed properties in upstate New York’s Adirondack Park, is one of the many waterways we actively help protect. Rivers like the Middle Branch Grass are important to maintaining the health of forest ecosystems, supporting diverse wildlife, and providing essential resources for surrounding communities. This river also offers a wealth of recreational opportunities, including camping, hiking, and fishing, contributing to the well-being of both the environment and the people who enjoy it. The Middle Branch Grass is home to a variety of fish species, including wild brook trout, largemouth bass, rock bass, and sunfish, highlighting the rich biodiversity that thrives in these protected waters. By helping to preserve our rivers and streams, we’re ensuring that these natural treasures continue to thrive—building on our legacy for future generations. #WorldRiversDay #Sustainability #AdirondackPark #MiddleBranchGrassRiver #Impact #NewYork

On September 8, 1905, Richard H. Molpus and M.H. Henderson formed a partnership that would end of having an influence on people throughout the United States for generations to come. From this humble start, Molpus stands as one of the oldest timber-related companies in the U.S. We proudly celebrate 119 years of impacting the local economies and lives in the communities in which we operate. Today, as a company managing over 1.7 million acres of working forests in 15 states, we practice responsible forest stewardship and conservation through our sustainability policies and practices. We manage on behalf of pension funds, college endowments, foundations, insurance companies and others. We have almost all of our forests open to for either public access or private lease for recreational purposes. We support education through internships and an expansive scholarship program with ten public universities located in some of the country’s most forested states, with rich histories and strong forest communities. After 119 years, forests aren’t just our focus, they’re our legacy. #MolpusLegacyDay #Anniversary #Timberland #Forestry #Forests #LegacyOver100Years
