Feeling burnout with tomorrow's election? Same! The ads and texts have been nonstop, and some of the rhetoric around this election has been concerning. What’s kept me engaged are the meaningful conversations I’ve had with people across our community. Since June, I’ve knocked on 900+ doors across ten municipalities (and yes, been chased by a few enthusiastic dogs ????), walked in seven parades, and shared election reminders with countless folks—all to help Western Wisconsinites prepare for the big day and know who’s on the ballot. But honestly? Listening has been the highlight. Hearing from community members about issues that matter—funding public education, tackling homelessness, ensuring healthcare access, and lowering costs—has renewed my optimism. Most of us in the La Crosse area just want a high quality of life and an accountable government that will work alongside us in reaching our goals. With that, whether you’ve knocked 1 door, 1,000, or none at all, your voice at the ballot box matters just as much as anybody’s. Voting—local, state, and federal—truly impacts our lives. And yes, voting can be FUN, even when stressful! This photo is me casting my vote for the La Crosse County Board Chairperson earlier this year, and I’m clearly having a blast. ?? So, if burnout has you on the fence, remember the importance of casting that ballot. If you haven’t already, make a plan to vote tomorrow. Don’t sit this election out. If you have voting questions, please check out myvote.wi.gov or shoot me a message. Let’s make sure your voice is heard! ??

I was honored to join the Blue Wall Tour along with Governor Evers, Governor Whitmer, and a number of other Midwestern leaders. We came with a simple message: the blue wall through Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania has to hold strong next week Tuesday. ?? Please join me in voting on--or before--November 5th to make a positive impact on our state and country! #election2024 #vote #positivity

At our recent county board meetings, we've discussed progress on ongoing issues and the 2025 county budget process. I’m proud that, as of now, the proposed budget reduces the property tax rate while expanding services, contributing to county plans to address homelessness, and funding crucial needs. Over the past few months, I've been active on multiple fronts, working alongside dedicated staff and other county elected officials to: ? Transform Hillview Health Care Center: Voted in favor of accepting bids for a $19.6 million renovation to transform Hillview into a facility addressing local housing, childcare, and senior care needs. This project will serve as a long-term solution to issues while ensuring the center's sustainability. I also spoke in support of taking steps for pre-approving asbestos abatement to prioritize safety for our residents. ? Engage in Committee Work: I've been appointed to serve on two standing committees–Public Works & Infrastructure, and Veterans, Aging & Long-Term Care. Additionally, I have been appointed to serve on the Mississippi Valley Health Services Commission, Neighborhood Revitalization Grant Review Committee, Economic Development Fund Board, and Intergenerational Day Center RFP Evaluation Team. ? Honor our Environmental Responsibilities: Along with six other county supervisors, I attended the Solid Waste Policy Board’s annual meeting in Onalaska to learn more about how our community is reducing environmental impact and improving landfill diversion. ? Attend the Wisconsin Counties Association Conference: La Crosse hosted the 2024 WCA Conference, bringing together local government leaders directly to our county board district to discuss?issues like conservation, long-term care, homelessness, PFAS contamination, and more. ? Connect with the Community: Spoke alongside local officials at a press event in Riverside Park...centering my remarks on the importance of ensuring that the recent state election referendums did not hinder childcare and EMS funding. Provided a brief update at the Downtown Neighborhood Association’s last meeting of the summer. Attended the Aging and Disability Resource Center’s Town Hall to hear from La Crosse, Monroe, and Vernon County residents. I also volunteered for Artspire's set-up, at the La Crosse Autism Foundation’s Golf Outing, and with a community group at La Crosse’s Juneteenth celebration. ? Plan for the Future: Participated in a full-day strategic planning session with other supervisors to set long-term goals for infrastructure, economic development, and community health.?Proudly voted in favor of approving the plan last month. And that's not even half of it! I’m excited for the future and proud to represent District 6. Your input is invaluable, and I look forward to continuing to work for you.?Please email [email protected] with questions or ideas. Because, while we're up against tough issues, I genuinely believe we can solve them together. ??

Big News! My candidate questionnaire in the La Crosse Tribune dropped this week. Give it a read and find out where I stand on the important issues https://lnkd.in/gQXrCTFG

Hey Everyone! Check out my letter to the editor in the La Crosse Tribune. The more people I talk to around the City of Onalaska the clearer it is that people are disconnected from their public officials and I'm running to change that. I can't tell you how many people have told me that they've never met their county board supervisor when I knock on their door. Public officials should cling to the heartbeat of their communities, not run away from them. https://lnkd.in/g4sQ_Ku5
