Molina Healthcare of Ohio is proud to announce a $1.25 million investment in the Ohio Behavioral Healthcare Provider Network (OBHPN) to support members struggling with mental illness, substance use disorder and chronic conditions. Through this funding, OBHPN will continue implementing an integrated system of care model that connects multiple services to improve health outcomes. OBHPN’s partnership with Alera Health will equip the organization with population health expertise, technologies and informatics support. Additionally, our funding will help OBHPN hire and train community health workers to engage with members to ensure continuity of care. Data shows that a quarter of adults with serious mental health concerns also struggle with substance use problems. With the support of OBHPN’s clinically integrated network, we will be able to provide a more streamlined health care experience for members who often have complex care needs across the health care system. The Molina Healthcare Charitable Foundation, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of Michigan, presented a $25,000 grant to Playworks Michigan, a nonprofit that uses physical activity to help children build social and emotional skills. Molina Healthcare of Illinois, in collaboration with The MolinaCares Accord, awarded a $250,000 grant to Ada S. McKinley Community Services in support of the Ada S. McKinley Community Mental Health Clinic. The clinic is a division of Insight Hospital and Molina funds will help boost comprehensive mental health care through the hiring of Community-Based Clinicians who will provide outpatient therapy to Medicaid members. Molina Healthcare of Nevada recently joined our partners at the Nevada Rural Hospital Partners (NRHP) Foundation for their 26th Annual Golf Tournament. The 13 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) that make up NRHP serve approximately 228,000 people, making them an essential resource for Nevadans. With an estimated 247,084 residents of rural and frontier Nevada living in areas with a shortage of primary medical care professionals, the need for quality care in these regions is critical. CAHs are pivotal in addressing this gap. We were proud to sponsor NRHP’s golf tournament to raise awareness of the essential services CAHs provide to our community. #CommittedToNevada

The MolinaCares Accord, in collaboration with Molina Healthcare of New Mexico, has announced a $100,000 grant to Roya Health, an organization providing high-quality integrated behavioral health services to traditionally underserved populations, to support the launch of an outpatient behavioral health clinic in Albuquerque. Roya Health’s state-of-the-art, ADA-accessible facility will provide a comfortable, professional environment to increase a family-centered approach to adolescent mental health and behavioral health services for New Mexicans. Molina Healthcare committed its support to the Alzheimer's Association? for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s running September through December in communities across the nation. Molina’s donations, totaling approximately $170,000, will fund walks in 22 cities. Money raised from the events will advance the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. Molina Healthcare of New Mexico recently partnered with the Preservation of the Burning of Zozobra to sponsor the 100th Burning of Zozobra festival on August 30! Through a $15,000 grant, we provided information about affordable health care coverage and services to the nearly 65,000 attendees celebrating the end of summer. We also donated a booth to La Familia Health, a federally qualified health center that provides health care services to community members. In a recent survey, over 40% of participating New Mexicans reported difficulty in accessing medical care.
