This past Saturday, the MVHS Diabetes Clinic and CNY Diabetes Education Program held an educational program at the Wynn Hospital in which providers had the opportunity learn more about how to use different diabetes technologies including insulin pens, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps and other injectable medications used to treat diabetes. Together, Nay Linn Aung, MD; CNY Diabetes Educator Caroline Jacobus; Diabetes Clinic Registered Nurse Carryn Williams, and representatives from three of the major companies who produce these technologies educated more than 20 providers on how to use these devices. This program helped providers gain a better understanding on the operation of these diabetic treatments in order to better educate their patients to produce improved health outcomes. Congratulations on the success of this event to all who were involved!

Last night, during a special Philanthropy Event at the F.X. Matt Brewing Company in Utica, New York, it was announced that the MVHS Foundation’s "This is for You: The Campaign to Transform Healthcare," exceeded its $30 million fundraising goal by raising $30,381,112. This announcement comes less than four years after the Wynn Family Foundation made a transformational gift of $50 million to name the flagship hospital and just one year after its opening.
