I try to walk my talk. As a consultant and coach to business leaders, I often invite them into the deep work of understanding their business fully in order to maximize their results. In particular, we centr on the design and impact of culture, team, and leadership health on their business results. It is vulnerable for them, and important. In turn, I work with a Coach and am a member of an Executive Mastermind with Eleanor Beaton and SAFI Media in which I get feedback (including both challenge an support) on how to lead my company. Vulnerable, and important. I was honored last week to share within that community the challenges of being an organizational development consultant when it comes to marketing and selling an "offer," and some of what I have learned along the way. In this clip are some of the highlights and the lowlights. Working on the business and working in the business are two very different skillsets, and being a great consultant and coach has been just the gateway to running a successful firm.
