The majority of battery packs used in commercial and industrial electric vehicles are liquid-cooled. Coolant flows through the battery packs' BMS (Battery Management System) to transfer heat to and from the battery cells to the coolant through direct immersion or conduction. This coolant from the battery pack outlet port flows through the Battery Thermal Management System (BTMS) for conditioning. Without a BTMS, the coolant, which is crucial for maintaining the battery pack's optimal temperature range, cannot perform effectively.
