In our last post, we introduced the concept of generative AI and how it can create stunning images in the style of Art Nouveau. Now, let's get into the nitty-gritty of how this process actually works! One popular method used in generative AI is the diffusion process. Here's a step-by-step breakdown: The Diffusion Process 1. Noise Addition Initially, we take an image and gradually add random noise to it over several steps, effectively destroying its structure and details. This creates a series of increasingly noisy images. 2. Training the Model The model is trained to learn the reverse process, which means it learns to remove the noise step-by-step and recover the original image. This is done by feeding the model pairs of noisy and less noisy images and teaching it to predict the denoised version. 3. Generation Phase: Once the model is trained, we can start with a random noise image and let the model progressively remove the noise, step-by-step, until a coherent and detailed image emerges. This final image is a creation of the AI, influenced by the patterns and styles it learned during training. Why the Diffusion Process? -Stability and Quality The diffusion process helps in creating high-quality images by providing a stable and controlled way of generating images. -Versatility This method can be used to generate a wide range of images, from artistic paintings to realistic photographs. Generative AI models, especially those using diffusion processes, are at the forefront of AI research, opening up new possibilities in art, design, and beyond. Whether you're an artist looking to explore new styles or a tech enthusiast excited about AI advancements, generative AI offers something for everyone.

So we talked about LLM’s but what's the other side of this coin. And that is Generative ai. Generative AI is a fascinating aspect of artificial intelligence that MODE loves to use. Generative AI is similar to Large Language Models (LLMs) but instead of being trained on text, it is trained on a vast array of images. Imagine you wanted to create artistic images in the style of Art Nouveau. First, you would train the model with a comprehensive set of Art Nouveau like images, allowing the AI to deeply understand this unique style. Once trained, you can input a prompt, and the AI will generate images that resemble. This ability to produce stylistic and creative outputs based on learned patterns makes generative AI a powerful tool in the world of art and design.
