About Modesto City Schools (MCS)
Modesto City Schools, composed of an elementary district and a high school district, has been providing exceptional educational programs since 1871. Current enrollment is approximately 30,000 students who are served in 22 elementary schools, four junior high schools, and seven comprehensive high schools. Modesto City Schools' ultimate goal is to ensure that every student graduates college and career ready, with the knowledge, abilities and character traits needed to thrive in a global society.
