The Peer Support Group Facilitator will create a safe and supportive virtual environment for group members to share their experiences, receive encouragement, and build connections with others who understand their struggles. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, cultural competencies, and knowledge in the areas of suicide prevention, particularly within the veteran and LGBTQ+ communities. This Transgender Day of Remembrance, Modern Military stands in solemn support of the transgender community, which faces higher rates of violence and discrimination than the general population. We honor the lives lost over the past year due to hate crimes against trans people. Additionally, we stand in solidarity with transgender service members whose futures are uncertain in 2025.
