  • We're incredibly proud of our work in helping create the CREW360 safety initiative, a program empowering everybody to be more proactive and take a greater role in their own safety and the safety of others.

CREW360, the safety initiative we created with Caterpillar Inc. Safety Services, is about lifting one another up to give everybody a voice in creating safe work sites. Nick Baumgarten, Foreman on the Midvalley Connector Bus Rapid Transit project, has played an active role as part of the Steering Team, where craft and staff from projects across the country meet once a month to discuss initiatives and ways to continuously improve our strong safety culture. See how he sees CREW360 playing a role with his crews every day:

  • We’re looking forward to attending the Commuter Rail Coalition Meeting! We're proud to tour some of the projects we helped bring to life with the Commuter Rail Coalition. With extensive work over the years on FrontRunner, from the initial systems packages to E-ATC implementation, as well as multiple On Call projects, it's a testament to the skills our teams bring to help agencies better connect their communities. Excited for the future of commuter railroads. Let us know if you’ll be there!

  • Project Update! The G Line Project is progressing steadily and is set to begin construction in early April! Prerequisite activities kicked off in February, and key updates include: successful detouring of buses around the construction zone, the start of decommissioning the existing station, and continued progress on the Proof of Concept as scheduled. We’re excited to see this project come to life and contribute to a more efficient transit system!

  • To wrap up Women in Construction Week, we want to recognize Claire Burkhardt. She is a Senior Project Manager who joined MRS late last year and brings extensive expertise in design and project management to the team. Currently, she supports projects in Chicago and Charlotte, and her personal industry involvement enriches her contributions. We are thrilled to have her on board to share her knowledge and experiences. Claire finds purpose knowing that her work plays a direct role in keeping people safe. While there are more women in the industry now than when she started, they still represent a small percentage of the workforce, and she encourages women to seek out companies that value their perspectives. Congratulations again to all the women in the industry, your dedication and hard work make us stronger! We are proud to celebrate your contributions and the impact you make every day. • Today we recognize Alexa Selby, she is a Signal Engineer in the Littleton office. It is very exciting to see her transition from an intern at MRS to a full-time position, especially as she contributes to the UTA On Call Project. We wish her great success and look forward to seeing her thrive in her new opportunities! • "Today marks the beginning of Women in Construction Week, a time to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of women in our industry. While we’re highlighting these achievements this week, their commitment, creativity, and integrity are the driving forces that enhance our industry culture every day. In a traditionally male-dominated field, the presence and empowerment of women fosters personal growth and contributes significantly to the overall success of our company. You’re all leaders, and your hard work and perseverance inspires future generations, proving that every woman has a vital role to play. Congratulations to all for your remarkable contributions, and thank you for making us stronger." - Paul Rieger, President, MRS #wicweek #wicweek25 #womeninconstructionweek2025

  • We are lucky to work alongside so many amazing employee-owners. This month we’re featuring Brandon Wise, Manager of Project Controls! “At MRS, I wear multiple hats, but my primary responsibility is in project controls. I work with an amazing team to shape our internal practices and standards and oversee their integration into our jobs. I also enjoy the challenge and teamwork that comes with being a project manager. Whenever the opportunity arises, I’m quick to raise my hand. My favorite part of working at MRS is the people. We are a tight-knit bunch with a shared purpose of doing what’s right for the customer and the projects we work on. ESOP is a close second! Outside of work, I love to spend time with my wife and 3 kids playing in the mountains – fishing, skiing, hunting, climbing, you name it!” Thank you, Brandon, for all your hard work and dedication!
