In the mid 2000's Dr. Kenneth Gelman,a lifelong drummer and subscriber to Modern Drummer, hired David Frangioni to install a recording studio in his garage in Hollywood, Florida. Frangioni is a well-known designer of studios around the world for people like Aerosmith and Ozzy Osbourne. In 2019, Frangioni became the CEO and Publisher of Modern Drummer. Today, Frangioni and Gelman have reconnected to record a new drum record at that very same studio. Also present was drummer-archivist Felipe Laverde to document the sessions with renown engineer Charles Dye at the helm. Great things happen when drummers get together, the brotherhood of drummers and drumming is like no other! Six years later, Frangioni continues to foster that community and brotherhood of drumming and drummers through Modern Drummer.
