We look forward to hosting our inaugural BeachMUN Conference this April 27th from 9 AM to 5 PM! BeachMUN is a single day conference on our CSULB campus, and it is open to all CSULB students, from any major! This conference is a fantastic opportunity to learn about MUN and have a training experience for new delegates, or to hone your skills as an experienced delegate. The club will also offer a practice session before the conference for those interested. Practice will be on April 25th from 5-6PM in SSPA 203. Welcome to MUN at the Beach! Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulated experience in which students can model what it means to represent a country on the international stage of the United Nations, working collaboratively with other countries to tackle the world’s most pressing issues. Students at CSULB can participate in MUN through the club and/or MUN Program anchored around POSC 376 International Law, POSC 378 Politics and Practices of the UN, and POSC 494 Politics of the Future.

On the afternoon of May 1, 2024 the CSULB Department of Political Science honored some of our brightest minds at our annual Scholarship and Awards Reception! The reception was held on the beautiful CSULB University Student Union Southwest Terrace, and was attended by students, families, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the department. We inducted a new cohort of Pi Sigma Alpha students, gave out scholarships and awards, and were inspired by a speech from our PSSA President.
