Exciting News: We are thrilled to announce the financial closing of the Dayton Kinship Family Housing development! This hugely impactful project, in partnership with Dayton Children's Hospital (DCH), is dedicated to providing affordable housing for kinship families — where children are raised by relatives like grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other caregivers due to unfortunate circumstances, such as the loss or incarceration of a parent. DCH has been an invaluable partner, offering their expertise and support through their ongoing hospital coverage and Kinship Navigators program, which assists families in need of stable housing. This project aligns with their mission to promote health equity and support the well-being of children and their caregivers in the community. The Dayton Kinship Housing development will consist of 26 new three-bedroom units, designed specifically for kinship families in the Old North Dayton neighborhood.
