On this International Women's Day, we want to pay tribute to all our colleagues who, with great dedication and professionalism, transform our work environment and inspire us all. ?? Today, we proudly share the story of Brenda R. Alves, Integrity Technician at MODEC, who defies stereotypes and stands out in a fundamental activity on the largest oil and gas production platform in Brazil. ?? 150km off the Brazilian coast, in the middle of the Pre-salt, Brenda works at height, suspended by ropes, to ensure the safety and structural integrity of the giant FPSO Guanabara MV31. The unit is one of the largest in the country and is 172 meters high, which is equivalent to 4.6 times the size of the Christ the Redeemer statue. ?? Brenda has the international IRATA certification, is highly qualified and follows strict safety protocols, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of tasks at height. The role, which requires specific preparation and intense physical conditioning, still has few women in Brazil. And it was in this universe that Brenda became a pioneer and a reference in several operations throughout her career, and, today, and the importance of representation. ??♀? ?? We are proud to share another significant milestone for the FPSO Raia’s project: we have completed 1 million man-hours without LTI (lost time accidents). ?? The achievement was celebrated with a ceremony at the Seatrium shipyard, in Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro, and was attended by executives from our client Equinor, the shipyard and MODEC, which manages the project. On the occasion, professionals who are working on this major project were recognized for their contributions to an increasingly safe work environment. The FPSO Raia will be deployed in the Raia Manta and Raia Pintada development areas, located in the pre-salt layer in the southern part of the Campos Basin, approximately 200 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, and permanently moored in a water depth of approximately 2,900 meters. ?? This milestone reflects the daily dedication of our teams and our ongoing and priority commitment to everyone’s safety! ?? . . ?? Today is #TBT day and we celebrate another milestone! ?? ???? On February 20, the FPSO MIAMTE MV34 completed 3 years since producing its first oil, representing more than a thousand days of full operation in the Gulf of Mexico! This is the first FPSO to operate in Mexican waters for an international oil company and MODEC's second project in Mexico. Moored at a water depth of approximately 32 meters about 10 kilometers off the Mexican coast, the FPSO is capable of moving 90 thousand barrels of oil per day, and, in 2024, reached 97.81% operational efficiency. ?? ?? ?? Exciting news! ?? ?? We are thrilled to share that the FPSO Bacalhau has arrived in Brazilian seas, after starting its journey from Singapore to Brazil, in December 2024. ?? This is the 17th platform delivered by MODEC to the Brazilian offshore and the vessel will begin operations in the Bacalhau Field (formerly Carcará), located in the pre-salt region of the Santos Basin, approximately 185 km off the coast of the municipality of Ilhabela, in the State of S?o Paulo. ?? The FPSO is owned by our client Equinor and was built by MODEC with a new generation of longer-life hulls, designed to accommodate larger topsides and with the capacity to produce up to 220 thousand barrels of crude oil per day. ?? ?? We have recently launched our inaugural Onshore Trainee Program in Guyana, which aims to equip Guyanese nationals with both technical and non-technical skills in the oil and gas sector. ???? The program will involve eight university graduates in a comprehensive 20-month training, divided into two phases: the initial phase will begin in Brazil, in a few weeks, where trainees will participate in a structured development plan that includes workshops on technical and soft skills, hands-on job training, and offshore assignments. ?? Then, in Singapore, trainees will undergo at least five months of pre-operations training to gain a thorough understanding of various phases of the UARU Project, thar covers the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) of the FPSO Errea Wittu, MODEC’s first offshore unit in Guyana.?? The Trainee Program in Guyana follows the recruitment of the first university interns on an 18-month Internship Program: started in December 2024, the program offered three additional Guyanese nationals’ opportunities within the Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Compliance departments. The interns are going to receive ongoing mentorship throughout their tenure at MODEC, with potential for permanent employment upon successful completion of their internships. In line with the national awareness campaign, we invited our employees to reflect on the importance of taking care of their mental health at home or at work. ? ?? Throughout our internal initiative MODEC with You, during this month, we shared various tips on: - self-care to include in your routine; - managing emotions to deal with daily pressures; - time management for well-being. We also presented actions to protect mental health at work and, on the 24th, we held a live where we shared our experiences on the topic. ??
