Last Friday’s March Luncheon featured Tom Scott, CEO of CentraState, as our keynote speaker. He opened a compelling conversation rooted in the community-wide impact of health disparities within Monmouth and Ocean counties. He also outlined CentraState’s strategic solutions and ignited a vital conversation on how we, as a community, can collectively mitigate these pressing challenges. We are thrilled to announce Dana Lancellotti as MODC's new Executive Director! A long-time MODC member, Dana brings a wealth of experience, most recently as President/CEO of the New Jersey Restaurant and Hospitality Association. There, she spearheaded a successful rebranding, modernized operations, and fiercely advocated for the industry during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Her prior role as Ocean County's Director of Business Development and Tourism highlights her commitment to our region, where she significantly contributed to the $5 billion tourism sector, collaborated with MODC to promote the Jersey Shore as a year-round destination, and played a crucial role in post-Superstorm Sandy recovery. Dana's dedication to community is evident in her extensive involvement. She served as an Honorary Commander at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and continues as an Emeritus, and she was a founding member and Executive Director of the Military Support Alliance of NJ. She also holds board positions with the Jersey Shore Partnership and has received numerous accolades, including MODC's 2016 Silver Gull Tourism Achievement Award and the 2020 Woman of Distinction award from the Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore. She has deep roots in Monmouth and Ocean Counties as she grew up in Sea Girt. Her grandparents founded Weir’s Pharmacy in Manasquan in 1922, and owned an arcade at Manasquan Beach throughout the 1940’s. She graduated from Manasquan High School?and met her husband at?Monmouth University. Dana possesses a diverse skill set encompassing non-profit leadership, creative marketing, and significant operational knowledge, welcome Dana!?

An incredible weekend started with a selfie at the request of Tom Gilmour at the February Monmouth-Ocean Development Council (MODC) meeting! The room had the pleasure of hearing from Commissioner Director Tom Arnone and County Clerk Christine Giordano Hanlon about Monmouth County’s plans to participate in the 250th anniversary of our country’s founding. ?? link in comments for my coverage of the event for TapInto Neptune/Neptune City Great to meet and sit with Margean Gladysz, Nancy Daly and Betsy DeFonza-Renna of Natale Realtors in Manasquan, Crystal Micchelli-Dominik, MBA, Luisa Vroman, Chris Carroll, and a special shout out to John Majeski! I’m also dropping a bonus photo in the comments of me at 10 months pregnant with bright pink hair in 2023… and here’s why… I met John Majeski for the first time on Friday completely by accident, and I completely lit up when I saw his name tag! When I was 8 months pregnant in 2023, half of our house was damaged in a hurricane… I mean half of our house and all of the flooring. It was an absolute nightmare. John’s ServPro teams got our house completely remediated and rebuilt beautifully with days to spare before my girl was born. It was extremely stressful to be displaced during the last 2 months of my pregnancy, but John’s team just kept reassuring me that I’d be back in my house before my due date. And I was! This picture in the comments is me breathing a huge sigh of relief in the space that John’s team rebuilt five days before my daughter came into this world. It is a moment I will never forget. It was amazing to be able to thank John in person.. i’ve been recommending them since 2023 and I will happily do it again any day. SERVPRO Team Majeski
