?? It's here! ?? We are so excited to roll out Dynamic Processes—a major investment in pipelines within VISION. This is a huge expansion of VISION’s capabilities brought to you by Army Applications Laboratory! Every initiative in VISION has been moved into a more robust standard pipeline. Users will notice an increased level of granularity for tracking their initiatives’ status and associated phases of development, including new discreet and adaptable descriptors initiatives will move through on their journey from idea to fielded capability. Dynamic Processes in VISION means: ? Better awareness of where initiatives are in their development ? Better visibility and data for decision-making for managers and leaders ? We recently released our FY24 VISION Data Brief that captures the huge impact our users are making across and between services to drive #defenseinnovation. One of our favorite parts to highlight was the pilot program for the ongoing Squadron Innovation Fund Marketplace, in which we worked with the United States Department of the Air Force to empower commanders to apply tokens to existing projects to fund them. Here were the results: ? More than a dozen projects submitted and funded ? More than $40k dispersed to commanders ? ?? Exciting alert for Airman and Guardian innovators! The Squadron Innovation Fund (SIF) is now hosted on the VISION Joint Innovation System, as the SIF Marketplace. ?? Airmen and Guardians are encouraged to be aggressively persistent in the pursuit of new ideas and solutions to United States Department of the Air Force challenges. Squadron Innovation Funding was developed and implemented in 2018 by former Air Force Chief of Staff, Gen. (Ret.) David L. Goldfein, to empower squadron commanders to invest in their unit's best ideas. Supported by the AFWERX innovation ecosystem, the new SIF Marketplace will continue to empower squadron commanders and wings to pursue problems collaboratively. The VISION Joint Innovation System is already being used to manage and progress innovative initiatives, so now projects and required funds will be in the same place! You can crowdsource and collaborate all in one space. That means better visibility of efforts and easier access to allocated resources.
