In advance of Transportation Research Board (TRB's) annual conference, the #MobilityCOE would like to share this report by the Transportation Research Board National Cooperative Highway Research Program and National Academy of Sciences on micromobility policy. State and local governments have shared interests and differing responsibilities regarding monitoring the public realm. With coordination, permitting, enforcement, monitoring, and emergency management powers, this TRB report provides insight on developing standards and guidance, conducting research initiatives, performing data collection, and promoting micromobility. When considering a multi-modal transportation system, policy guidance is available on the integration between micromobility devices and walking, transit, private cars, taxis, and transportation network companies (TNCs). ??
