The future of mobility is electric and autonomous – and it starts with MOIA in Hamburg! ??? Today, Hamburg's Minister for Transport, Anjes Tjarks, together with numerous media representatives had the opportunity to experience the first ride with the prototype of the ID. Buzz AD. Joining them on this exciting journey were Christian Senger (CEO Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles ADMT) and Sascha Meyer (CEO MOIA). Without a doubt, the ID. Buzz AD was an important protagonist of the day as well: Equipped with 13 cameras, nine lidars and five radars, the vehicles capture their surroundings in real-time, navigating through Hamburg's dense city traffic. But the innovation doesn’t stop at the exterior. The interior, designed specifically for mobility services, features spacious, comfortable seating, increased headroom, and bright, welcoming colours in MOIA’s signature design – ensuring an inviting ride experience. Did you know? According to our surveys, 75% of our Hamburg users view an autonomous MOIA service positively or neutrally, and over half are eager to try it right away! In Hamburg, we are currently testing autonomous ridepooling with internal users. Starting next year, we will gradually extend these tests to include selected customers.
