Butterfly Tea takes flight once again at the Veranda in 2025. What began as a partnership with Paradise Monarchs to create an exceptional afternoon activity celebrating transformation and rebirth, Butterfly Tea has morphed into a monthly, must-experience event each second Saturday of the month. Tailored for children aged 12 and under, this delightful tea service offers an interactive dome experience adorned with monarch butterflies alongside various engaging activities and education about the butterflies. The Butterfly Keiki Tea encompasses a specialized kids’ tea set, a choice of chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla milkshake, a box containing a butterfly chrysalis from Paradise Monarchs, a pair of wearable butterfly wings, and a goody bag. Here are the details: In honor of January’s celebration of Mu‘umu‘u Month in Hawai‘i, the Moana Surfrider, A Westin Resort & Spa, is combining culture with couture. On Saturday, January 25, 2025, the venerable Veranda at the First Lady of Waikiki is collaborating with Native Hawaiian-owned fashion brand, Kahulale‘a for a special Afternoon Tea event. Guests are invited to wear their favorite mu‘umu‘u to the Mu‘umu‘u at the Moana x Kahulale‘a Tea Collaboration, which features the following tea sets: ·?Royal Tea $135: Tea-infused mimosa flight, soup du jour or salad, finger sandwiches, tea dessert offerings, berries with yogurt and whipped cream, tropical sorbet, Moana Surfrider omiyage gift bag. ·?First Lady $110: Glass of sparkling rose, finger sandwiches, tea dessert offerings, berries with yogurt and whipped cream, tropical sorbet, and souvenir fan. ·?Menehune Keiki Tea $65 (ages 12 and under): Keiki tea set, milkshake, cookie, and Moana teddy bear. The first 50 guests to order the Royal Tea set will receive a special Kahulale‘a gift. In addition, on that day only, tea guests can receive 20 percent off their purchase at the Kahulale‘a store located at the Moana Surfrider. Our 2024 "Nightmare Before Christmas" Gingerbread Display is officially among the Top 25 Historic Hotels of America | Historic Hotels Worldwide's Most Magnificent Gingerbread Displays. This is a wonderful acknowledgment of Pastry Chef Carmen Montejo and her team's creativity and dedication to delivering magical holiday experiences at the First Lady of Waikiki. The 500-pound of sugary sweetness features Jack skeleton, the main house, mountain, and Chef Carmen's favorite movie. Chef Carmen and her team of 3 spent about 80 hours over 30 days to complete it. The final product is 5' x 5' x 6' and uses 100 pounds of flour, 40 pounds of sugar, a half-gallon of food coloring at some 1,000 candies.
