City Executive Leadership - Helping People, Places, Plans and Projects build Momentum to Prosper and Thrive -- Champions high performing, purpose driven teams that add value and elevate a community
At the American Planning Association (APA) CALIFORNIA CHAPTER AMERICAN PLANNING ASSOCIATION annual conference in the City of Riverside / County of Riverside! Started out the conference volunteering as a mentor for my Student Mentee Buddy Mikaela Mora who is a Sociology major at UC Irvine graduating this quarter looking for an entry level planning position. Together we did a lot of fun networking with public and private sector employers. I have no doubt she will be a great success in the planning profession as she is a great communicator (verbally and written), hard worker, driven, and open to new opportunities and growth! Got to hear from Cheech and his role and influence in the city of arts and innovation with The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture of the Riverside Art Museum along with Cheech and Chong’s Cannabis Company Cheech and Chong's Global Holdings Company I have a couple presentations where I am presenting with great panel colleagues that might be of interest; Title: Dude, Where’s my Job? Finding your Way in the Planning Profession Moderator: Peter Minegar, AICP Presenters: Bryan Jones, John Hildebrand Thomas Vogt, and our APA Inland Empire Section Director ‘Madam President’ Emily Elliott, AICP Block: Sunday, September 29 from 1:15 - 2:15 Title: The Inland Empire Strikes Back: Logistics and Fulfillment Centers in a Post COVID World Moderator: Delia Votsch, PE Presenters: Christopher Tzeng, Bryan Jones, Danielle Surdin-O'Leary Block: Monday, September 30 from 1:30 - 2:30 Want to thank the City of Menifee for sponsoring one of the continuing education presenting training rooms. It’s been great over the last year working with the section board and Conference Host Committee to put on this great conference as part of the programs committee reviewing all the sessions.
