Halloween celebrations at the office can be fun. Here are 5 tips for keeping your party from spooking Human Resources. ? Communication: Clearly communicate the theme, rules, and expectations for the Halloween event. This includes any opt-out options for employees who prefer not to participate. ? Inclusivity: Offer non-Halloween related activities or allow those not participating to opt for a quiet workday without disturbance. ? Safety and Comfort: Ensure costumes are safe for the workplace (no excessive makeup that could be considered inappropriate, weapons, or anything that could make work dangerous).Encourage a change of clothes if necessary. ? Respect for Work: While fun is important, remind employees of the need to maintain productivity. Schedule most festive activities around lunch or set dedicated times for Halloween festivities. ? Some fun ideas include costume contests, pumpkin carving or painting contests, decorate cubicles, halloween-themed desert potluck, or have a committee decorate the office.
