Thousands of women and girls across our Minnesota & Dakotas Region continue her mission of service to this day - every hour, every day. They are resilient disaster responders comforting and guiding families recovering from life-altering events. They are generous philanthropists funding new blood donation centers and embodying humanitarian leadership. They are kind-hearted women stitching quilts and delivering cards of gratitude to service members and veterans. They are inspiring young volunteers engaging their peers in discussions of global issues such as International Humanitaran Law. And so much more. We echo the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies - IFRC in thanking the women of all ages whose hearts and hands are our mission in action. Last week, I was asked to share with over 100 American Red Cross supporters from across the country about our home fire disaster work. Telling the story through powerful examples, I showed how families begin their recovery story and highlighted the hope the American Red Cross brings to those on their darkest day.
