February 18, 2024 – a day forever etched in our hearts. One year ago, Officers Paul Elmstrand, Matt Ruge, and Firefighter/Paramedic Adam Finseth made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our community. Their bravery, dedication and selflessness will never be forgotten. Today, we honor their memory, their families and all who continue to serve and protect.

  • We are proud to feature the Vice President of our board of directors, Paul Godlewski. Paul is the Senior Director of Marketing - Risk & Fraud Solutions at Thomson Reuters. His passion for bringing problem-solvers and influencers together to address societal challenges shines through his involvement in the Foundation. Paul initially joined the MCPF board to actively demonstrate support for our heroes in uniform, but his involvement has grown into a passion to do his part in creating a better, safer, more collegial environment between those who serve and the people and communities they have sworn to protect. Paul says he has "always felt a deep appreciation for the freedoms and opportunities provided by our great country and even deeper gratitude for those who have offered the ultimate sacrifice to preserve it. With many family and friends, living and deceased, who have taken an oath and stood behind it in courageous ways, I am compelled to support their selfless decisions to serve others as they run toward the danger." We thank Paul for all of his support of our police agencies in Minnesota and for all the work he does on our Foundation board.
