Last week specialty fire stopping contractors got together at the FCIA Fall Conference in Palm Springs. MM Systems along with 3 other expansion joint manufactures shared best practice methods to accommodate not so ordinary fire rated field transitions. Attendees rotated through 4 hands-on demonstrations to see first hand how to solve challenging transitions. The MM Team demonstrated a fire rated foam seal wall joint adjoining into a traditional draped floor fire barrier.......thanks to FCIA for facilitating the hands-on education format!

INDUSTRY COLLABORATION: Demo Day 2024 - Where the Roof Meets the Wall This year, ICRI Metro New York & NWiR New York City Council partnered up to organize Demo Day 2024, and it was a huge success! As an industry, we often struggle with building interfaces—whether it's the slab-to-foundation wall, foundation wall-to-wall, or wall-to-roof. These areas are notorious for causing issues and require carefully designed tie-in systems that are compatible, continuous, watertight, and airtight. So why not bring designers, manufacturers, and contractors together in one room to discuss these topics? That was what Demo Day was all about. With hands-on demonstrations and insightful presentations, everyone had a chance to showcase their unique skills and perspectives. It was a day full of learning and collaboration! A huge thank you to all the participating manufacturers who dove into the nitty-gritty of installation and application procedures: Adcos, Evonik , GCP, IR Analyzers (testing agency), Kemper System America, Inc., Kingspan Group, MM Systems, PROSOCO, Inc., Siplast, SOPREMA USA, Sika, and Tremco CPG Inc.
