We're pleased to welcome the newest members of the MLKCH Board of Directors: Dr. Thomas Fisher is a Board certified emergency medicine #physician, who has worked to improve health care as an academic, health insurance executive, and White House Fellow in the Obama administration. He is best known as the author of “The Emergency: A Year of Healing and Heartbreak in a Chicago ER.” Michelle Gaskill-Hames is President of Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and Hospitals of Southern California and Hawaii. She began her career as a neonatal intensive care #nurse but soon discovered her passion for #leadership. With over 20 years of experience, she has led cultural transformations and delivered impactful outcomes across multiple health systems. Dr. Ramanathan (Ram) Raju is a nationally recognized leader in healthcare with a deep commitment to health equity. He has served as CEO of NYC Health + Hospitals and Cook County Health, overseeing some of the largest public health systems in the country. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Community Health Investment Officer at Northwell Health, where he worked to eliminate health disparities. Wanda Cole-Frieman is a talent acquisition and workforce strategy expert with over 25 years of experience helping organizations build strong, diverse teams. As Senior Vice President of Talent Acquisition for CommonSpirit Health, she and her team #recruit 50,000 healthcare professionals annually. Each of these #leaders brings a wealth of experience and a depth of mission commitment to our #board.
