Today, September 2, 2024, we walked over the new Delancey St. pedestrian bridge to the new East River Park ballfields 1 & 2, rebuilt as part of the #EastSideCoastalResiliency Project. The project when completed in 2026, will protect 110,000 New Yorkers from the impacts of climate change by reducing flood risk to communities, properties, businesses, critical infrastructure, and public open spaces. I’m very proud to be on the HNTB The LiRo Group JV working with NYC Department of Design and Construction, NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and many other agencies to build this exciting project. And very happy to share this experience with my family this Labor Day. The ladybug that landed on Ulysses is a symbol of good luck, new beginnings, and positivity. #BeingHNTB #BeingNY #community #collaboration #RESILIENCY

After more than eight months of major reconstruction, renewal and upgrade, the Manhattan bound platform at Woodhaven Blvd Station on the J Line was reopened for passenger service in the early hours of Monday, August 12, 2024. NYCHA's Recovery and Resiliency Department (R&R) is pushing design boundaries in building reinforcements, storm surge protection, and infrastructure upgrades. Final Phase Percentage Completion: 79% ? Project Start: Q3 2020 ??? Anticipated Completion: Q2 2025 ?? Recent Updates: - Renovated basketball court and seating area at Surfside & O’Dwyer Gardens ?? - Sidewalk restoration at Coney Island Site 8 ??♂?
