Each year, every student in our ESOL programs at MLCS receives a new computer, ensuring access to essential digital tools in every class. With these devices, students not only learn English but also build practical skills for their personal and professional lives. Huge thanks to Tech Goes Home for making this possible! Our students also benefit from the guidance of professional coaches from English for New Bostonians, who lead multiple workshops and advisory sessions. These valuable resources help students grow their skills and seize new opportunities. A huge thank you to everyone who made our Civic Education Forum a success! We’re so grateful to our community, the NUBE team, and all the incredible organizations and volunteers who helped bring this event to life. During the forum, we discussed critical civic questions, including: - Should the auditor oversee the legislature? - Eliminating the MCAS graduation requirement - A union for rideshare drivers - Legalizing psychedelic drugs - The minimum wage for tipped workers Special thanks to Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, State Senator Lydia Edwards, State Rep. Adrian Madaro, and City Councilor Gabriela Coletta for joining us and supporting our efforts.
