Had an amazing time attending today's AI Masterclass led by David Giard, Partner Solution Architect at Microsoft, and organized by ML@IIT. David's presentation on "Empowering AI: Navigating Microsoft's Tools and Technologies" was truly inspiring. He explored the potential of generative AI and its impact on producing unique and innovative content across various fields. He discussed the impact of Large Language Models (LLMs) on natural language understanding and how they are used across different industries like chatbots and content creation. He delved into the RAG( Retrieval- Augmented Generative) pattern, revolutionizing information retrieval, and the concept of Hybrid Search, combining AI and human expertise to produce smarter and more context-aware search results. We also learned about the importance of responsible AI, emphasizing the principles that should guide the development of ethical AI systems. These include privacy and security, inclusiveness, accountability, transparency, fairness, reliability, and safety. Finally, David demonstrated Azure's AI toolkit, a collection of available resources. He showed us how these tools, such as GitHub Copilot, Azure OpenAI, and 365 Copilot, can be utilized to create intelligent solutions that run on Microsoft's cloud platform.
