Our team took a deeper look at the meaning of hospice and its impact on the individual and the family, pushing the renovation of Stillwater Hospice to provide supportive spaces in different ways.?A focus on arrival relocated the entrance to a more central location, which also included the addition of a canopy. Interior renovations revolved around a kitchen table concept, with common spaces near the nurse’s station. These spaces nudge different family support structures to counsel one another and offer proximity to staff. To provide better access to respite areas, exterior doors were added to all patient rooms, giving families convenient access to garden areas. #hospicedesign #architecture #design

MKM partnered with The Fairfield to create a home for several new amenities in downtown Fort Wayne. The building had been vacant for many years and required a complete overhaul – including the roof, floors, windows, and entirely new infrastructure. The design retained the industrial aesthetic, preserving the building's unique characteristics. Each level of the three-story building offers unique entertainment options - including duckpin bowling, golf simulators, dining and bar options, an event venue, and more!
