As a brand that is nearly 100% Franchise owned and operated, Franchisees like Michael Gould are what makes Burger King so special. Michael and his Franchise group, MJG Enterprises LLC, recently acquired 10 Burger King restaurants in Michael’s home state of Illinois, where?he previously operated two restaurants. This is a notable milestone for Michael, who began his career as an assistant manager at Burger King in Mount Prospect, Illinois, in 1985, taking on increasing responsibility and leadership roles until becoming a managing partner with a Burger King Franchise group in 2004. This acquisition brings Michael’s portfolio to 12 Burger King restaurants located throughout the greater Chicago area. As an Illinois native, Michael looks forward to reinvigorating the brand to serve Guests in the community and surrounding areas he grew up in.?“My team and I are thrilled to take over these restaurants and be hands on in the local communities, making Burger King a beloved brand where Guests know they can come for exceptional flame-grilled food and service.” These newly acquired restaurants will undergo renovations and remodels and will bring almost 75 new jobs to the area while retaining existing managers and Team Members.
