Twenty years ago, a group of bold, determined #Mizzou women came together to lift each other up, share wisdom, and create change. This year, we celebrated that legacy at the Griffiths Leadership Society Conference and honored one of our own who embodies its mission. Congratulations to Laura Remy-Martin (BSN ’12, MPH ’17, PhD ’20), recipient of The Spirit of Martha Award! ?? Laura Remy-Martin's passion for advancing equity in clinical research started at Mizzou, inspired by her mother’s battle with breast cancer. From studying abroad in Ghana to leading business strategies at Optum, she has dedicated her career to breaking barriers in healthcare and mentoring women in research. This award carries the name of Martha Wright Griffiths (BA ’34), a woman who changed history by fighting for the Equal Rights Amendment and Title IX. Laura’s leadership and service continue that legacy, proving that one person’s dedication can open doors for many. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Tigers! ?? Since 1903, students in the @Mizzou College of Engineering have celebrated March 17 as a holiday dedicated to all engineers. Over the years, the celebrations have expanded to what we now know as E-Week at Mizzou. Rah for the Engineers!
