We just built our BIGGEST Passage world to-date, a virtual ( life-size ) MIT campus a whopping 7 million square feet to explore! We were absolutely stoked to collaborate with MIT Reality Hack (Co-organized by Reality Hack, Inc. and VR/AR MIT) ? Thanks so much to Shirly Spikes for the introduction and all the incredible folks at Reality Hack, like Oksana Slyusar, who made this happen! We will 100% be expanding the buildings on campus, adding new details, and generally leveling up the experience and interactivity for next year's hack! I look forward to a day very soon when students could step into a fully virtual campus from anywhere in the world!

Collecting my thoughts from MIT Reality Hack from the last week while trying to catch up from sleep. Well, here are some of the facts: ? About 450 hackers representing 70 nationalities across every major continent. ? Over 75 teams formed at the event to work on projects. ? Once again, the least sleep I've ever had over a 6 night period. ? The biggest majority volunteer org team we've ever had. This event still feels like it shouldn't exist. It's a 5-day event that's a hackathon, a conference, an expo, a day of educational seminars, a party, and a week of online pre-programming all rolled into one big experience. And it's all done with the heart and soul of volunteers who truly believe in a better and shared vision for technology for positive change while empowering people with the skills and purpose they need to make it happen. The love and passion of our team seeps into every aspect of the hack, from our team personally welcoming every participant to the event, to being on the ground solving every need and answering every question folks have to ensure they have a good time. We take care of our community because we want them to have the tools they need to succeed. And it shows. Every year, it melts my heart to hear from folks that tell me how much this experience means to them. From folks saying this event was "life changing" to "the most fun I've ever had" to "The last decade has been more and more scary but you all continue to give me hope that we can do this." We strive to be a driving force to empower individuals to build the future they want to see and spark positive change. Some would call us crazy to give away so much of our time and energy to volunteer for an event of this scale, but we need a little bit of crazy in our lives to move things forward. We are MIT Reality Hack. We are an experiential technology event for good. We are a diverse and inclusive community to help people learn and grow; and we welcome you with open arms. I am so incredibly grateful and honored every year to play my small part in it. Thank you to my Reality Hack community and family. You've made this year truly one for the history books. ?? Until next year, RH family. Let's continue to be the change we want to see in this world. (SO honored my friend Sean Chee was there to capture it all!) Scott W. ???? MIT Reality Hack: Shape the Future ???? Join me in a world where visionaries transform ideas in XR, AI, and a wide range of hardware into reality. This is more than just a traditional hackathon—it’s a movement driven by creativity, collaboration, and limitless potential. ?? Meta is proud to support this community of changemakers, powering innovation with cutting-edge tools and platforms that push boundaries and unlock new realities. Creators are leveraging our MR tools and Horizon platforms, which feature advanced capabilities like Environment Understanding, Simulators, Spatial Anchors, GenAI, and Avatars. These tools enable diverse, engaging, multi-user, and intelligent use cases. It’s been an incredible journey collaborating with XR Bootcamp and also smart colleagues like Dilmer Valecillos ? Christopher D. Kairalla Kara Gundersen Darby Blaney Ionut Zolti and many others. I personally also noticed an increasing buzz into AI integration of wearables and on device agents. New technologies would always connect creators from different background. And the idea of software hardware co-design is coming back to life here. Together, we’re redefining the possible and creating the future of immersive experiences. Ready to make an impact? #MITRealityHack #Meta #SpatialComputing #Innovators #AI #AIagent #wearable #XR #3D

What an incredible day at Experiential: The Innovation Conference at the Reality Hack, Inc. (co-organizers of MIT Reality Hack) yesterday! I was thrilled to host the event, kick it off with opening comments, and moderate the powerhouse keynote panel on The State of the Industry, featuring none other than tech legends Tim Bajarin and Anshel Sag. The energy at the event was electric! Meeting so many brilliant minds, exchanging groundbreaking ideas, and witnessing the passion for innovation was nothing short of inspiring. If you missed it this year, mark your calendars for next year—this is an event you do NOT want to miss! Although the Experiential conference portion has wrapped, the magic continues as the hackathon powers on through tomorrow. Hundreds of brilliant participants are collaborating, innovating, and creating in this ultimate test of creativity and tech prowess. #MITRealityHack #Innovation #Experiential2025 #XR #AI
