'Tis the season of corporate earnings announcements. Here's one that came out today. UnitedHealth Group corporate revenues grew by 9% y/y - resulting from "serving more people more comprehensively across the enterprise ... ” according to the announcement. Here's another data point. U.S. healthcare costs continue to rise - growing by 6-7% in 2024 with expected 2025 growth of 9% (according to recent report from McKinsey & Company - https://lnkd.in/eX-Jix3P). Companies are in business to make money. And just like your for-profit business, UHG is focused on growth for their shareholders. Not disparaging their focus, and especially in light of the recent inexcusable, irrational, unjustifiable tragedy in their executive suite. But at what expense to your business?
