Today's Teachable Tuesday is from the Comprehensive ABA department. Natural Environment Teaching (NET) is a strategy we use to follow our individual learners' motivation to teach new skills that can improve their language and communication skills, as well as help generalize the skills they have learned across environments. Tripp has been working on generalizing his receptive and expressive communication skills in NET - he is a great pizza chef and enjoys learning and reading! Go Tripp!?? This week's Miracle Monday is Melia! Melia has been working hard on communication skills, in addition to learning group skills during morning circle time with our Brown Bears, among many other goals. She is now independently using her AAC device to request many of her favorite activities with two word phrases, such as swinging and building! She enjoys being on the playground, putting together marble tracks, and playing games with letters and words! She recently started verbally requesting help! We are so proud of Melia and can’t wait to see the progress she will continue to make!!?? This week's Teachable Tuesday comes from the Ladybug class! They had so much fun mixing colors and learning about volcanoes. First, they discussed all about what a volcano is and the colors of the hot lava. Then, they were able to use red and yellow paint to recreate the lava colors. This was such a fun experience. This week's Miracle Monday is Vivian! She is currently in the Ladybug classroom and is a joy to be around! She loves singing her days of the week and doing arts and crafts.
