Every day in the Division of Business at Mitchell College, students are learning to be professionals in their disciplines through authentic experience. This amazing class is another example of how we’re building the best business teaching institution in Connecticut. Thanks, Elyse Gessler, PhD for everything you do for your students at Mitchell College. #learningbydoing #innovation #communication #mitchellmeansbusiness
Last week in Communicating in Groups, students practiced their teamwork skills through a Crisis Communication simulation exercise where they developed internal and external messaging in the case of a cyber attack on our institution. Students were grouped into organizational management, communication, and logistics teams where they worked together to develop annd pivot their plans based on the various "wrenches" introduced throughout the simulation! #highered #communication #teamwork

Another great example of how our students develop real-world professional skills at Mitchell College | Division of Business: Engaging with a true expert in the field of Project Management - Stephen Devaux! Our project management specialization students build on their Management degrees, including their Mlab hands-on learning experience, with an in-depth study including multiple courses in project management, covering traditional, agile project management, business analysis, and management of innovation. Stephen's presentation spanned the whole specialization, through discussion of projects as investments, designed to deliver value for their client. An outstanding presentation, well-received by our amazing students. Thank you, Stephen Devaux. #projectmanagement #expertspeaker #learningadventures #mitchellmeansbusiness
What a great class! Stephen Devaux, President of Analytic Project Management, project management theorist and author brought an engaging and inspiring discussion of Critical Path Drag to our Project Management specialization students. Stephen was funny, smart, and passionate, and inspired our budding PMs to think more deeply about what it means to treat a project as an investment, and how getting stuff done faster drives value. Our appreciation for your unique contribution to the project management community and to our amazing students. Thank you! #gratitude #managementeducation #expertspeakers #projectmanagement #criticalpathdrag #mitchellmeansbusiness
